COASTAL / MARINE PROJECT ENGINEER

Coastal Engineering Consultants (CEC) is seeking an experienced Coastal / Marine Engineer to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to serve as engineer in responsible charge for projects across the Gulf region.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Coastal, Civil, Environmental, or Ocean Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of relevant coastal and marine engineering experience
- Eligibility to obtain Florida PE within two years
- HYPACK and AutoCAD proficiency
- Small boat operation experience
- Ability to obtain USCG Captain’s License and/or SCUBA certification within one year
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to legally work in United States without support for an indefinite period of time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect seawalls, revetments, piers, docks, groins, jetties, and breakwaters
- Evaluate coastal, marine, and oceanographic processes
- Prepare engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, technical reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates
- Utilize computer-aided design and engineering software to produce construction documents and direct designers/technicians in developing plans
- Perform topographic, bathymetric, hydrographic, and geotechnical surveys
- Deploy, monitor, and retrieve current meters, tide gauges, and wave gauges.
- Manage environmental permit processes and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
- Perform construction administration and monitor construction progress

We are seeking a Financial and Operations Specialist to join our team and oversee the financial planning and accounting practices of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with financial institutions, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing support in human resources and office management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage financial planning, budgeting, audits and forecasting activities.
- Maintain and improve accounting practices, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Timely processing of human resource functions such as payroll, taxes, new hires and benefits administration.
- Processing calendar and fiscal year-end financial reports.
- Supervise and assist administrative support staff.

Qualifications:

Job Title: CADD Designer
Location: Bonita Springs, Florida
SUMMARY:
Produces survey and design drawings and maps and exhibits in support of the coastal, marine, survey, and environmental projects undertaken by the company. Performs non-routine and complex technical assignments. Selects and adapts plans, techniques, designs and/or layouts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment
- Prepare concept plans, permit drawings, design plans, and construction plans
- Prepare existing condition surveys, sketch of descriptions, legal descriptions, stake-out plans, and related survey drawings and deliverables
- Calculate design data and quantity estimates
- Prepare graphics, maps, and exhibits for reports
- Prepare color renderings
- Responsible for quality assurance and quality control measures for CADD drawing preparation
- Provide technical support and training to others in area of expertise
- Analyze drawings to determine technical adequacy of drawings and designs
- Assist with site inspections including preparing field notes and sketches of project features
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma and Technical Training with CADD or equivalent in job experience. Experience with computers, interfacing with electronic equipment, and familiarity with technical computer programs.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, construction plans, construction specifications, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, clients, and stakeholders. Have excellent written and oral communication skills (English).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply concepts of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid driver’s license.
