BATON ROUGE, LA, April 2012 – Coastal Engineering Consultants, Inc. (CEC), headquartered in Naples, Florida, today announced it has hired Gregory Grandy, ASLA, as Senior Environmental Manager in their Baton Rouge, Louisiana office. Mr. Grandy will take a lead role in the management of environmental restoration and coastal engineering projects in Louisiana.

A 1989 graduate of Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA, in Landscape Architecture, Mr. Grandy also earned his M.S. in Environmental Management and Planning from LSU. He is a Louisiana Licensed Landscape Architect and a Certified Interpretive Planner, National Association of Interpretation.

Formerly a Director of Conservation for the East Baton Rouge Recreation and Park Commission (BREC), he was responsible for updating and implementing their conservation plan. Prior to BREC, Mr. Grandy was a Senior Project Manager with the State of Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority from 1999-2009 and was responsible for the development and implementation of the Louisiana Coastal Impact Assistance Program (CIAP) and other coastal restoration projects.
