Coastal Engineering Consultants Inc. has been involved in the construction of many commercial sites of various sizes. In the year 2000 Coastal Engineering's Survey division performed the construction stakeout services at the Granada Shoppes commercial center.

Granada Shoppes is located north of Pelican Marsh on U.S. 41 North in North Naples. The center was a joint venture of Courtelis Co. of Miami and the local Barron Collier Co. of Naples. The center has 300,000 square feet of retail space and 90,000 square feet of office space. Major tenants are Home Depot, Marshalls, Haverty's Fine Furniture, Romano's Macaroni Grill, First Watch and Applebee's restaurant. Coastal Engineering performed the construction computations and the survey layout of the lighting, curbing, turn lanes, parking, drainage, sanitary sewers, sidewalks, building stakeout and vertical control for the entire construction site.
